My sister, Heather, got married on Saturday in Keswick at the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church in Keswick. The ceremony was on one of the hottest days in June, but the chapel was air conditioned, so wearing heavy fancy clothes was not unbearable. The rain held off, although clouds seemed to threaten all day.
I piped in the wedding party, and my brother brought Heather down the aisle. Three bridesmaids and groomsmen filled the complement of the wedding party.
The reception was held in the Lions Club hall near Mount Albert.

In many ways the Graduation Day ceremony for your Bachelor’s degree is anti-climactic. It doesn’t really capture the essence of the last four years of your life. Does it feel like an adequate award for all those late nights, cram sessions, and frustratingly hard assignments? Does it capture the happiness that you shared with your friends? Is it a true homage to your university life that has totally defined you as a person for the past four years?

On the Victoria Day long weekend, we went hiking up at Mono Cliffs near Orangeville. This is a small provincial park with several trails that traverse the Niagara escarpment in that area. The Bruce trail also goes through that region. The parking is just a self serve metered park, $10.00 for the day.
That weekend, the bugs had not started biting, but the weather was warm and sunny, so we had an amazing day.
